Our Mission

Christ has a mission. He was sent by the Father to seek us out, to save us from our sins, and to take us with him to heaven.

Christ started his Church to carry out his mission throughout history and in every part of the world.

The mission of Catholics Seeking Christ — as part of the Church’s mission — is to carry out Christ’s mission among young adult Catholics in the U.S. military.

At the same time, each of us needs to be saved from our sins, needs answers to our questions, needs to know why we were created — needs to seek Christ. That is our personal mission — to seek Christ and help others to seek Christ. In Catholics Seeking Christ, we find a place in the Church for young service men and women to personally seek Christ.

Carrying out the Mission

Each member of Catholics Seeking Christ is responsible for the mission.

CSC trains Catholic young adults in uniform to lead others to Christ by organizing “small groups,” — units of other Catholic young adults in uniform.

The mission is carried out primarily in these small groups. Small groups meet to explore faith in Christ by asking and answering questions about being young, in the military and Catholic.

CSC has developed training methods and small group resources especially designed for the military. The training and resources are geared for young adults living a highly mobile life. CSC is adaptable, flexible and deployable.
