Catholic Chaplains in the U.S. Military bear a great responsibility in their ministry, and the demands placed upon military chaplains are high. At the same time, the opportunity to interact with so many young adults in their daily work life is a privilege that not many other priests share.
Chapel Staff and Protestant Chaplains also do so much to minister to Catholics in uniform — and we are grateful!
Catholics Seeking Christ will enhance your ministry to young Catholics in uniform. CSC develops not only their relationship with Christ but also their leadership in the Church — and ensures moral and character development.
CSC is designed to be chaplain “supported” — not chaplain “dependent”. You need to approve and oversee the CSC groups at your installation/ship — but let CSC leaders do the work.
Training leaders
To start CSC at your installation — or to keep CSC going — you need trained CSC Leaders. There are two training options:
1. On-site Training
CSC staff will come to your installation and provide training. If you are getting CSC started for the first time and have more than two potential leaders, this is for you.
2. Remote/Deployed Training
If you are deployed or at sea; if you already have experienced CSC leaders at your installation and want to train a few more; or if it is difficult to arrange a workshop — this training method is for you.
Using resources from the Archdiocese
The Archdiocese provides materials to help guide CSC groups in their discussions. These include DVDs, booklets for participants, website support and the support of the personnel of the Office of Evangelization. See a sample order/donation form.

"Do not be afraid. From now on, you will be catching men." They left everything and followed him.
